No. Zeroth Round is not a coding bootcamp. We do not teach you to become a developer in a set number of weeks. We place you inside a simulated technology workplace so you can experience how a delivery team actually works and see which role fits you.

Simulated Work-Based Learning is a structured experience that recreates the environment, roles, rituals, and deliverables of a real technology workplace without requiring an outside employer host. Participants take on a role on a cross-functional team, work through a realistic project, and produce artifacts they can explain.

Zero to 180 is a two-day job-shadowing style experience focused on understanding how the technology workplace functions and entering a short simulation. Zero to 360 is a deeper micro-internship experience across five sessions where participants hold a role, contribute to a team project, and produce deliverables.

Participants can explore roles across a delivery team, including business analysis, development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, scrum facilitation, and project management, with UX/UI included when the cohort design calls for it. Available roles vary by program and cohort.

Both. Programs can be delivered virtually, in person, or in a hybrid format. The delivery format is agreed with the organization during planning.

No prior experience is required. Programs are designed for beginners, career changers, students, and technology-curious learners who want to understand how the work happens before committing to a path.

No placement is guaranteed or implied. Zeroth Round is a learning experience, not a hiring pipeline. What you gain is clarity, experience of the work, and deliverables you can explain in your own words.

Yes. Cohort size, delivery format, scheduling, role mix, and project scenario can be adapted to your audience and goals within the structure of the program.

Organizations typically receive facilitated delivery, structured session plans, participant activity and attendance documentation, participant deliverables, and a summary of the cohort experience. Specifics vary by program and delivery agreement.

Organizations commonly explore Perkins, CTE, workforce development, grant, foundation, and local program budgets. Zeroth Round does not determine or guarantee eligibility for any funding source; each organization confirms eligibility with its own funder or administrator.

Only with the participant's explicit consent. Zeroth Round is not a staffing agency or job board, and participation does not guarantee employment, interviews, endorsements, or access to participant data.

Employers can serve as an industry insight partner, guest professional, project scenario partner, talent engagement partner, or simulation sponsor. Each pathway has a defined commitment agreed in advance.

Scheduling depends on cohort size, delivery format, and facilitator availability. Organizations generally begin the conversation several weeks before the intended start so the scenario and role mix can be designed properly.

Yes. Tell us what you need during planning or enrollment and we will work with you to make the experience usable. Materials and sessions are designed to be accessible, and adjustments are made where reasonably possible.

We collect only what is needed to deliver the program and respond to inquiries. Participant information is not sold, and it is shared with employers only with appropriate consent.

Zeroth Round does not promise employment, interviews, academic credit, certification, or mastery of any specific tool. The outcome is informed clarity about technology roles and firsthand experience of how the work is done.

Zero to 180 is structured to provide three documented hours of job-shadowing style experience within a simulated technology workplace, with activity and attendance documentation. Whether that satisfies a specific requirement is determined by your school, district, or state administrator, not by Zeroth Round.

Zero to 360 is structured to provide fifteen documented hours of micro-internship style experience with role assignment, team contribution, and deliverables. Final determination of compliance rests with your school, district, or state administrator.

The Field Series is Zeroth Round's set of community sessions and events where participants and professionals engage with how technology work happens outside of a formal program.

The Access Fund supports access to Zeroth Round programs for individuals who would otherwise be unable to participate. Southern Indiana residents can apply through zerothround.com.
